Retro Handheld Guides. Your guide to get the most out of your retro handheld

About

My name is Eric and I am the owner and creator of Retro Handheld Guides.

I grew up with the classic consoles starting with the Atari 2600 and the NES which started my life long passion for gaming and electronics.

I’ve owned a number of game consoles since those early days but I always love to come back to the classics.

When the raspberry pi came out, I bought one and put it in a NES case and installed RetroPi on it so that I could relive those classic games.

In early 2020 while looking for a Christmas gift for my daughter I stumbled into the newly emerging world of cheap handheld devices that could emulate those old games with the Bittboy Pocket Go.

Since then I’ve owned a number of handheld devices and love to tinker with the software on them to push them to their emulation limit.

My passion for tinkering with software to find the best settings for retro handhelds that I’ve owned is what inspired me to start this site so that I can share with you those settings and tweaks that I’ve found to get the most out of the handheld that you’ve got.

I hope that you find these guides helpful to help you to get the most out of your device as well.
